Happy Monday you all, I have decided to make an easy treat that is halloween themed. This easy treat is also kid friendly so they can help out. My daughter loves Rice Krispy treats whenever we are on the go or whenever i get them for her lunch. So of course I figured these would be easy to make with her and she would love them.
Ingredients:
- 8 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
- 6 TBSP Butter- from the stick- sliced
- 11.5 Oz marshmallows
- Halloween themed sprinkles
- White candy melts- 1 cup
- 1 TBSP milk
Directions:
- Gather your Rice Krispies together in a large bowl with enough space to stir.
- Gather your marshmallows and put in a bowl that can be put in the microwave.
- Add your slices of butter and place in the microwave for about 2 minutes. At the 1 minute mark check Tom make sure everything is melting and stir quickly. Then microwave the remainder of 1 minute left.
- Once it is done melting stir it all together and then add to your Rice Krispy Cereal.
- Once your marshmallows and feral have been combined really well you’ll add the mixture to a cake pan that’s {9x13x2 inch}
- Use a plate or a bowl to press the cereal down so its an even across .
- You can place in the freezer for 1 hour, or the refrigerator for 3 hours.
- Once you remove the Rice Krispies from from the refrigerator or freezer set aside. You will need to use a pot and fill it half way and place it on the stove on high so that water will boil.
- While you wait for the water to boil you will want to pre slice the treats. You can make them small or large. I cut mine into 12 pieces and left in the pan.
- Use a bowl that can be used over heat (stainless steel, aluminum) and add and melts and your milk to the bowl and place over boiling water.
- The candy will then melt and use a whisk to help it and stir until it is a smooth consistency. While it is smooth will you want to drizzle the melts over the treats and then add your sprinkles until your desired look.
- Serve with your favorite beverage 🙂
